Ferrari on Wednesday announced a new car in the V8 GT segment—Portofino. The car named after a picturesque Italian town of the same name is a convertible launched with an intention to dominate the segment.

The sporty looking car packs Ferrari V8 turbo engine which delivers 441 KW of power at 7500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque. Ferrari Portofino can zoom from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds and can reach the top speed of 320 kmph. “[It] is the most powerful convertible to combine the advantages of a retractable hard top, a roomy boot and generous cockpit space plus two rear seats suitable for short trips,” Ferrari said.

Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster And AMG GT R Launched in India | Mercedes AMG All Cars | Mercedes cars List

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG GT R and the AMG GT Roadster in India at a price of Rs. 2.23 crore and 2.19 crore (ex-showroom, India) respectively. Both models are high performance cars. The AMG GT R recently broke the lap record for production street legal car at the Buddh International Circuit.

Mercedes-AMG has launched not one but two powerful cars from its stable, the GT Roadster and the GT-R in India with prices starting at Rs 2.19 crore (ex-showroom, India) and Rs 2.23 crore (ex-showroom, India) respectively. With these two new additions, Mercedes-Benzhas expanded the AMG portfolio in India to 12 models. The AMG GT-R takes inspiration from the AMG GT3 racing car while the GT roadster takes inspiration from the GT-R to give dynamic performance at the very highest level that the AMG brand is known for.

AMG GT-R

The AMG GT-R was designed with racetrack use firmly in mind. The low-slung front section and the forwards-inclined radiator grille create a distinctive 'shark nose' impression and make the car appear to sit lower on the road. The fascia features a completely new-look jet-wing design emphasizes the feeling of width and lends the car a more road-hugging appearance. The rear end also features numerous innovations such as new aluminum side walls widen the rear of the AMG GT-R, creating space for the larger 20-inch wheels and the wider track. The wide design of the rear improves the airflow at the rear end, as does the double diffuser.
The interior of the AMG GT-R is also strongly inspired by motorsport. AMG Performance Seats come covered in Nappa leather and Dinamica microfiber come as standard. They offer the necessary lateral support even in extreme driving maneuvers. The optional yellow seat belts, dials with yellow highlights, the piano-black lacquer interior trim and special controls, including those for the new AMG Traction Control, underline the unique standing of the new AMG GT-R. Four central spotlight-style vents and the individual vents at the right and left ends of the dashboard reinforce this impression.
Under the hood, is a handcrafted AMG, 4.0-litre, V8 Bi-turbo engine that has a mammoth output of 569 bhp and a mind-boggling torque of 699 Nm. The engine is mated to 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission. The car gets various driving modes - Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and Individual. With the ability to go from 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds, the GT-R has a top speed of 318 kmph and has a lower drag coefficient than the AMG GT.
Dubbed as 'Beast of the Green Hell', the AMG GT-R recently broke the world record for a production street legal road car at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) by clocking the fastest lap of 2:09.853. The AMG GT-R also has the lap record at the Nurburgring for a rear wheel drive car, clocking a time of 7:09.10.

AMG GT Roadster
Developed entirely in-house by the sports car and performance brand, the open-top two-seater marks an expansion of the successful GT family. Globally, the roadster is available in two variants, of which the AMG GT C Roadster is the more exciting one. However, India will get the base GT Roadster version with a toned down performance compared to its twin. At the heart is the AMG 4.0-litre V8 twin turbocharged engine that has the capacity to produce 469 bhp of max power and 630 Nm of peak torque. The GT Roadster has a top speed of 302 kmph. The engine comes mated to a 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission in a transaxle arrangement at the rear axle, which makes for better acceleration.
The striking front end on the AMG GT underlines the motor racing heritage of the car with its 15 chrome-plated, vertical slats echo the look of the current Mercedes-AMG GT3 customer sports racing car. The large outer air inlets ensure the supply of cooling air to the engine. The GT Roadster gets the combination of the new 19-inch and 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design. Various aluminum alloys are used for the chassis and body, and magnesium for the front end, which reduces the inertia ahead of the front axle; thus improving agility.
The interior design echoes that of the exterior. The high beltlines, concave door panels, dynamically rising central console and low seat position integrate the driver into the cockpit. The new, light-colored interior in macchiato beige exclusive Nappa Style leather, lends the open-top sports car even more individuality and exclusivity.

Hyundai Verna To Be Launched In India August 2017 | Hyundai New Cars | All New Cars

Hyundai Verna To Be Launched In India Tomorrow

The new-gen Hyundai Verna is the third big launch from the South Korean carmaker in India in 2017 after the Grand i10 facelift and the Xcent facelift. The car comes with new design and styling and a host of new premium features.

The 2017 Hyundai Verna sedan is finally set to go on sale in India tomorrow, almost a year later it's global unveiling. The new-generation Verna comes with a host design and styling updates that have further enhanced the car's premium quotient. This is the third big launch from the South Korean carmaker in India in 2017, which early this year launched the Grand i10 facelift and the Xcent facelift. In India, the new-gen Verna will continue to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Ciazand the 2017 Honda City, which also went through a facelift early this year.

Hyundai first pulled the wraps off the 2017 Verna sedan in September 2016, followed by its global launch in China. Post that the company started working on the European spec model, which was spotted in Spain, along with the India-spec model, test mules of which have also been spotted in the country. Hyundai India started releasing teaser images and video for the new Verna a couple of months back and early this month we even brought you our first impressions of the car.

The car continues to be built on Hyundai's versatile Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy and shares its styling cues with the new Hyundai Elantra, which went on sale in India last year. For instance, it's the face of the car that has gone through a massive makeover and now features a new trapezoidal grille with chrome slats and surrounds, flanked by sweptback headlamps with projector lights and LED daytime running lights. The bumper gets a wide slit for air intake while the foglamps are enclosed in chrome accents. The new Verna runs of 16-inch wheels and while the top-spec trim gets the signature diamond cut alloys, the mid and the lower trim gets regular alloys and steel wheels with covers respectively. The rear portion also seems to have taken inspiration from the Elantra which is prominently seen from the LED taillamps and the raised boot lid.

The official brochure of the new Verna was leaked online sometime back and if we go by that, the car will only come in four variants - E, EX, SX, and SX (O) and quite a few comfort and safety features will be standard across trim. The cabin comes with dual tone black and beige interior with either cloth or leather treatment for door panels, gear knob and steering depending on the variant. The car also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink, and in addition to the speakers, we also get front tweeters, Auto Link connected car technology and Hyundai iBlue audio remote application. Safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD are standard across trim levels.
Hyundai has dropped the 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engines for the new-gen Verna and now the car will only feature the more powerful 1.6-litre units. The 1.6 petrol will be making 121 bhp of power and 130 Nm of peak torque, while the 1.6 diesel oil burner makes 126 bhp and peak torque of 245 Nm. Transmission options will include the 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Renault Kaptur Car launching Date And Price And Photos in India

Expected Launch: August 2017
Expected Price: ₹8 Lakhs
Renault Kaptur is not launched in India yet. Information on this page is tentative.

Renault Kaptur Preview

The Kaptur is a new crossover from Renault that has spawned off the Duster platform. Renault also has the Captur globally, but that is based on the Clio platform which is expensive to work with. The Kaptur does take design cues from the similarly sized Captur but has been developed for the emerging markets like South America and Asia. The Kaptur is expected to come to India by mid-2017.

The Kaptur is about 4.3m long which is the same length as the Duster. Which means, the five-seater crossover will be as spacious as the Duster and the lower height means it will be more of an S-Cross competitor than a Creta competitor. Looking at the interior of the new Duster, Renault seems to have learnt what sells in the subcontinent and the Kaptur will come fully loaded with all the necessary features. It might have the residual French quirks in its design, but if it has the space and features needed, we wouldn’t mind.

The Kaptur gets the latest Renault signature fascia of a smiley grille with horizontal slats and a chrome lined lower half. The headlamps sweep back on the contoured front and the air dam gets its lower half blacked out with horizontal slats for a sporty look. It gets projector headlamps and bumper mounted LED DRLs. Being a crossover, peripheral cladding is a must and the slightly flared wheel arches with give it a butch look. Tail design is simple but contoured with LED tail lamps and a blacked out lower half of the bumper.

As for the engines, you will have the 1.5-litre dCi turbocharged four cylinder diesel engine powering the front wheels of the Kaptur. The 1.5-litre mill is offered with the Duster in two states of tune – 84bhp and 108bhp and will most probably be the same on the Kaptur along with the five and six-speed gearboxes. The petrol mill will be the 1.6-litre 102bhp four cylinder engine also from the Duster. There is also a fair chance of the Kaptur getting the AWD like the Duster.

As we have said earlier, the Kaptur should be an S-Cross competitor and might be priced alongside the Duster if not slightly below it. Which means we can expect the Kaptur to be priced between Rs 8 lakh to 14 Lakh.

Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder caught on camera in India

All the positive things that have been said recently about the Lamborghini Huracan Performante hold true for this new drop top version that has been caught on camera with some camouflage.

Like the coupe, the Huracan Performante Spyder gets a 5.2-litre V10. It's the same engine as the base Huracan but retuned here and fitted with a lighter exhaust that exits higher.

The result is 30 more horsepower for a total of 631. The new exhaust also leaves room for a bigger rear diffuser, providing even more downforce. Going by the fixed roof model, the Huracan Performante Spyder is bound to be one seriously fast convertible.
