Yamaha Fazer 25 | Yamaha FZ25 Photos | Latest Technology Yamaha fz25 Bike

India Yamaha Motor has launched the much awaited Fazer 25 at ₹ 1, 29,335 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Carandbike's expected pricing was bang on at ₹ 1.3 lakh as well. It was barely five months ago that Yamaha had launched the FZ25. The company did think that it would be wise to bring out a faired variant of the motorcycle, with the Indian two-wheeler enthusiast's fondness for a faired motorcycle. Yamaha had never had a quarter-litre faired motorcycle in India. With more and more people looking to buy performance motorcycle, it might actually prove to be a good move. Whether it does or not, is a different question though! Here are top 5 facts that you should know about the newly launched Yamaha Fazer 25, should you want to get your hands on one.

  1. Claimed Efficiency: The Yamaha Fazer 25 has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 43 kmpl. With a 14-litre fuel tank, similar to that of the FZ25, the Fazer 25 gets a total range of 600 kilometres. Not bad for a 250 cc motorcycle, which the company pegs to be oriented towards long distance riding.
  2. Differences: We all know that the Fazer 250 shares components and parts with the FZ25. What is the difference though? Well, to answer your question, the Fazer 25 gets a different material for the seat, a two new LED positioning lamps below the headlamp and a new dual-horn. And of course, the fairing itself. Rest other parts are same as the FZ25.
  3. Weight: The Fazer 25 weighs a total of 154 kg. Although, this is barely 6 kg more than the weight of the Yamaha FZ25, which has a kerb weight of 148 kg. The extra weight of the fairing is lesser than we had expected.
  4. Engine: The Fazer 25 gets the exact same engine as the FZ25 which is a 249 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that makes max power of 20 bhp and 20 Nm of peak torque. The transmission remains the same as well, a 5-speed gearbox as well. The engine of course, meets BS IV emission norms. Also, the Fazer 250 will not have ABS (anti-lock brakes) till the government makes its mandatory in 2019.
  5. Colours: The Fazer 25 will be available in two colours, which are Soulful Cyan and Rhythmic Red. The deliveries should begin from September 2017.
